Nonetheless, becoming a YouTube sensation also comes with the price of gossip and rumors, something that Laura hasn’t been saved from.
So is it true that Laura is divorced? What happened to her husband? What about her quick rise to fame and finances? Keep watching to learn all about it!
Is Laura Farms Divorced?
Everyone who has been watching Laura Farms’ content knows well that her husband, Grant Wilson, has been fundamental in the growth of her business. They met several years ago on a camping trip in Yellowstone, and later began dating, eventually marrying in late 2020. That same year, they started renting her family’s land in Nebraska, and have been growing a business on it together for years now.
However, rumors about Laura’s possible divorce from Grant started circulating on the internet in early 2025. None of these rumors come from a trustworthy source, originating from suspicious Facebook groups and fake accounts that use Laura’s name, and encourage people to message her by claiming that she’s recently divorced.
Despite how unreliable these sources are, that hasn’t stopped naive internet users from falling prey to them, thus spreading the word that Laura’s now single. Nonetheless, around the same time that these false rumors started circulating, Laura and Grant celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in December 2024, and have shared many pictures of their life together.
This leaves the divorce rumors completely unfounded, much to the chagrin of some ill-intended people who have been spreading misinformation about Laura’s relationship.
Background
Farming has always been part of Laura’s life. She’s a fifth-generation farmer, and grew up surrounded by her grandfather and father’s operation in Nebraska. As she affirmed in an interview with Pioneer, her involvement with her family’s farm consisted of detasseling corn, which she describes as ‘not for the faint of heart’. However, she also admitted to being more focused on academics and sports activities throughout her childhood and early teens.
By the time Laura started her senior year of high school, her opinion had changed. She was sure back then that she wanted to take care of the farm when the right time came, though she didn’t expect it to happen just a couple of years into her college time. It was 2020, and the COVID-19 restrictions were full-blown, leaving Laura to return home, to get into online classes for her degree.
Following, Laura started renting the ground on her family’s farm and was taught about the business by her father and grandfather. That was the big start for Laura, who began harvesting white and yellow soybeans, corn, and seeds, on top of taking care of livestock. Around that time, Laura also went to her then-future husband Grant to help him out on his family’s farm.
Beginnings On YouTube
The beginnings of Laura Farms were very simple. Everything started in April 2020, when she was home due to COVID-19, and her friends were curious about the work she had begun doing on her family’s farm. As Laura affirmed in an interview with the YouTube channel Chief Industries, Inc., her videos were intended for her friends and people who followed her on Twitter (now X), as she’d also begun sharing her farming journey on the platform.

The first video on YouTube was entitled “Inside of a Tractor Cab”, which gained a lot of traction right away. On the same day, she also shared a second video entitled “Turning in a Planter”, in which she made it evident that she was simply having fun with her videos.
As Laura affirmed in 2025, she had no intention of becoming famous through her videos when she started posting, but as these gained attention, Laura continued filming and posting them, as she learned the inner workings of the business, and approached the challenges hands-on. It was what she described as ‘a connection to rural life and agriculture’ which people were looking for at the time that gained her such a massive audience online.
Growth & Net Worth
Although Laura started her YouTube channel by filming videos on her phone and editing them herself, the channel slowly grew to result in a huge improvement in her content, visually and content-wise. These days, Laura Farms’ videos are more than just a young woman discovering what farming is about, but are instead a trustworthy source of information and entertainment focused on the industry. The channel is also inspiring for those who want to learn things by themselves, but haven’t found the courage to do so.
Fast forward to early 2025, -Laura Farms had been an active YouTube channel for five years and has attracted over 650,00 subscribers and counting. The channel’s videos have accumulated over 160 million views, on top of having an audience of around 1.1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined.
This immense growth on Laura’s part has resulted in great benefits to her finances. According to online sources, her net worth is estimated to be as high as $370,000 five years into her YouTube journey, though it’s unclear how much she might be making from ads on her videos, and social media sponsorships.
All in all, it’s easy to see that Laura Farms is thriving these days. This is well-deserved, as it also teaches us a lesson or two about following our dreams, regardless of the criticism and negativity which might come our way while doing so.
