Hij is momenteel 95 jaar oud en woont op een ranch in Santa Ynez, Californi\u00eb, VS. Tijdens een van zijn optredens schreef hij televisiegeschiedenis &#8211; hij ontwikkelde vaardigheden in het werpen van tomahawks terwijl hij Mingo speelde, en wilde zijn kunnen demonstreren door tegen Carson te zeggen dat hij een doelwit van over de kamer kon raken. Carson vroeg hem het te demonstreren, en Ed stemde toe.<\/p>\n<p>Een houten paneel met een krijtomschrijving van een cowboy werd op het podium gebracht.
