1.   Cultivate Your Relationships

This list starts with the most easily accomplishable of all the items. You don’t need to travel thousands of miles or do an in-depth soul search to cultivate your relationships with people in a fulfilling way, as it only requires you to start looking at your surroundings and the people there.

Getting close or opening up to others might not be easy if we have inner issues to solve, if we’re highly protective of ourselves, but just being kind and spending valuable time with those we appreciate now is a first step towards strengthening our relationships. That said, listening to others and putting ourselves in their shoes is also highly appreciated in a world where hedonism and lack of sympathy now seem to be the rules.

2.   Go On A Safari

On the practical side of things, going on a Safari might be the one great option if you want a nature-related adventure.

Of course, Safaris cost money and require you to have some free time to travel, but the activity is more than worth it because it means seeing animals rarely seen elsewhere, and experiencing a unique environment and landscapes. There’s also the potential of meeting new people and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles, which are highly valuable and can be life-changing.

3.   Read All Types of Books

While our love for reading could be stagnated by negative experiences in our youth or academic years, reading for the pure pleasure of knowing a story in full or immersing ourselves in the experiences of someone else’s real life through their words, could be fascinating .and a hobby worth cultivating and maintaining for a lifetime. That said, the range of genres and characters in literature is endless and mostly affordable, so it’s worth fueling our curiosity not just once but many times until we find that topic we love to read about.

4.   Go Skiing

One activity that everyone should try at least once in their lives is skiing. Wintery scenarios worth traveling to, and skiing itself are widely known for their positive effects on people’s physical and mental health, on top of giving us a shot of adrenaline and a unique novelty thrill once we experience it.

Some similar and equally worthwhile cold-related activities are snowboarding and ice skating.

5.   Traveling With Friends

Unlike other social bonds, friendships are about people who willingly choose to spend time with each other, appreciating our similarities regardless of the differences between us.

Traveling with those special people in our lives can be life-changing in so many ways, as the memories and experiences it creates are far more important than the destinations we choose.

6.   Help People

Helping other people involves activities which vary from raising funds for a humanitarian cause to becoming a volunteer, or simply giving other people a hand or an understanding ear, regardless of whether they’re close to us or not. The important thing is to do it without expecting anything in return, except leaving a heartwarming memory in someone else’s heart.

7.   Trek Machu Picchu

South America has some of the most gorgeous  places worth-visiting  in the world. One of the most famous is Machu Picchu in Peru, an ancient now ruined city in the Incan Empire, and which holds auge historical importance.

8.   Visit An Active Volcano

On the topic of risky places to visit, going to a volcano is pretty high up. It’s an adventure that everyone should experience before dying though, as those who frequent these types of scenarios affirm that they’re not only gorgeous but also thrilling.

Some of the most famous and safe-to-travel-to volcanoes are Mount Vesuvius in Italy, the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica, Mount Bromo in Indonesia, and last but not least, the Bardarbunga in Iceland.

9.   Attend A Concert From An Artist You Don’t Know

Most people attend a concert by an artist they like at least once in their life, but what about stepping out of our comfort zone to experience something new? To answer our yearning for fresh experiences, attending concerts by artists we aren’t a fan of or don’t know well can be amazing, as listening to live music can not only bring us joy but could also lead us to meet new art forms and people.

In this sense, it’s a good idea to attend music festivals if they’re within our reach. or if we like more private things, to go to a ‘live’ house or bar we don’t usually frequent.

10.   Visit The Amazon

The Amazon is high on the list of amazing and unique places to visit at least once. This rainforest is not only massive but is also filled with biodiversity and natural scenarios we can’t see elsewhere.

Given the massive extension of the Amazon, there are many gorgeous places to visit there, such as the Jau National Park in Brazil and the Canaima National Park in Venezuela. However, it’s worth noting that these destinations are not easily accessible, so you should be guided in this adventure by more experienced people.

11.   Go Surfing or Swim With Dolphins

Especially for people who grew up or live far away from the ocean, the concept of surfing might be unknown. That doesn’t take away the fact that surfing is one of the healthiest and most fun activities you should try at least one, even if you don’t stand on that surfing board for long.

In this same line of thought, you can go wilder by swimming with dolphins. This activity is fairly popular and accessible in paradisiac destinations.

12.   Learn Another Language

Learning a new language can be thrilling and mind-awakening in many ways, as it opens our eyes to new perspectives, forms of art, and cultures. If seeing the world in ways we weren’t taught to is on your to-do list, then learning a language should be what you choose.

That said, learning sign language is also a great and worthwhile option, if your biggest goal is to communicate with more people.

13.   Keep A Journal

Despite being very different from traveling and meeting people, keeping a journal is a great way to keep ourselves focused and aware of our experiences. It’s not only an easy way to keep track of what we do, but has other benefits too, such as encouraging introspection, develop writing skills, and keep in touch with our feelings.

14.   Live In The Moment

Living in the moment doesn’t require huge amounts of money or plane tickets, but only introspection and calm. This item connects to all those aforementioned, in the sense that it doesn’t matter how far we go or who we’re with if we don’t enjoy it and understand the inherent miracle that is being alive. This involves listening to others and letting ourselves be immersed in the moment without fear or resentment.

15.   Release Your Potential

To accomplish everything we want, foremost is to to let ourselves release our potential. Whether that means paying attention to what is holding us back, or distancing ourselves from people who might be detaining us, the important thing is to be aware that we can do anything we desire as long as we’re alive.

Breaking away from the physical and mental limitations that stop us from reaching our potential is the key to living to the fullest.
