It was impossible to hear Loren Allred and not be completely amazed by her voice. The American singer became famous thanks to her “Britain’s Got Talent” – “BGT” run in 2022, but she already had a vast career as a singer at that point. Her repertoire included performing as a playback singer in movies as successful as “The Greatest Showman”, but for the longest time she wasn’t ready to show her face to the world, and instead only used her voice to connect with others.

Taking part in the competition show also made Loren’s name known, landing her many musical projects, but where exactly is her career heading?
Keep with us to learn more about Loren Allred, her career now, her plans for the future, and how much her life has changed since showing her talent to the world years ago.
What Is She Doing Now?
Much to the joy of everyone whose hearts have been warmed by Loren Allred’s voice, these days she’s as active as ever in making music. In early 2023, she released her extended play (EP) “I Hear Your Voice”, which includes a lead single of the same name and six songs overall. This album marked Loren’s career’s second EP ever, and mostly comprises original songs, except for a cover of Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow”.
Later in 2024, Loren finally released her recorded version of “Never Enough”, which she famously sang for the musical film “The Greatest Showman”. She also released a rendition of the musical “The Wizard of Oz”’s song “Over The Rainbow” early that year, and a second version of the song in duet with “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Sydnie Christmas was released in December.
Other important collaborations Loren has recently worked on include “900 Rupiya (Never Let Me Go)” with Indian superstars Salim-Sulaiman, and “No Promises To Keep” for the videogame “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” in collaboration with Nobuo Uematsu. It’s also worth noting that since her 2022 “Britain’s Got Talent” run, Loren has performed at several private events in the US, UK, and Sweden.
Although it’s unclear what projects Loren is working on for 2025 and coming years, it’s evident that she’s very busy creating music, and bringing more of her beautiful voice to the world.

Her Beginnings
While most people know about Loren Allred from TV or her participation in “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack, very few know much about her beginnings as an artist and early career.
Loren comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was born on 7 September 1989. As the child of a musical family, Loren’s closeness to artistry began at a very early age ,and kept itself intact as her family moved to Utah, where she eventually studied musical theater at Weber State University.
Despite being raised to favor classical music, Loren found out about Mariah Carey and her musical inclinations immediately changed. As she affirmed in an interview with the site Haute Living, she used to sing Carey’s songs for hours in her room and also discovered other singers with top-notch vocals such as Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston, from whom she also took inspiration.
Loren eventually left Utah for Massachusetts, where she enrolled in the Berklee College of Music. Around that time she began gaining attention on the internet thanks to the covers she shared on YouTube, landing a record deal through it, though her career didn’t speed right away. That’s why in 2012 Loren got into “The Voice”, but was unfortunately eliminated early.
By the time Loren auditioned for “BGT”, she’d worked as a playback singer in Hollywood, and collaborated in Michael Buble’s album “Love”.
Path In “Britain’s Got Talent”
It wasn’t that long ago when Loren Allred conquered the hearts of millions through the screen of “BGT” in 2022. Her participation in the show’s 15th season was praised from the beginning, as during her audition, Loren revealed the not-so-simple fact that she was the voice behind the famous “Never Enough” song, from the 2017 awarded musical film “The Greatest Showman”.
As a playback singer, Loren didn’t appear in the movie per se, as her work was limited to her voice only. However, the song was a hit and instantly recognizable to “Britain’s Got Talent” judges and a huge part of the audience, putting high expectations on Loren’s performance that night. She didn’t disappoint though, as from the beginning her “Never Enough” performance in the competition show was everything people wanted to hear, resulting in a well-deserved Golden Buzzer on Amanda Holden’s side, sending Loren to the Semi-Finals.
Loren’s second performance in the show was Lauren Daigle’s “You Say”, bringing the audience and judges to their feet. The third and last time we saw Loren in the competition was during the Finals, when she sang “Last Thing I’ll Ever Need” from her EP “I Hear Your Voice”. Though the performance gained her the judges’ approval, she didn’t attract enough votes to perform at the Finale.
Path In “America’s Got Talent”
Loren Allred’s run in “BGT” might have been cut short, but luckily, that wasn’t the last time we saw her in a show of the franchise. In early 2024, she returned to take part in the spin-off “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League”, which features season’s winners and fan-favorites such as Loren.
During her introduction to the show, Loren confessed that following her participation in the soundtrack of “The Greatest Showman”, she realized that she wanted people to connect her face to the song she famously performed under the shadows. Her participation in “Britain’s Got Talent” was admittedly to get ‘her feet wet’ as Loren didn’t feel ready for a big stage as “America’s Got Talent”.
As it turned out, Loren’s decision to go back to the TV stage through the “Fantasy League” spin-off was wise, as she got to perform “Never Enough” again during her Preliminary, gaining a place in the competition. Later in the Semi-Finals, she sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from “The Wizard of Oz”, gaining her a position in the top three contestants from that night, but out of the overall competition.
Despite not making it further, Loren performed for the last time in the show in a mash-up during the final alongside other competitors. Later during “AGT’s” 19th season, Loren guest performed “You Say” alongside Lauren Daigle, the song’s writer and original performer.
All in all, not winning the competition hasn’t stopped Loren from accomplishing many dreams and working on many great projects.
