Al Bladez is a YouTuber based in Florida, whose lawn mowing content has gained him millions of followers across all social media. Al’s knack for leaving people’s previously messy lawns and backyards perfectly clean continues attract an ever-growing audience to his videos, turning him into one of the most followed influencers in the still-growing niche of lawn mowing content on the internet.

However, Al’s popularity doesn’t come without criticism. There have been accusations of using clickbait titles in his videos and trespassing allegations about the properties on which he cuts grass, which have brought him many issues and negative criticism throughout the years.
So, what is the untold truth about Al Bladez, his business, and the lawsuit? Keep with us to learn all about it!
Who Is Al Bladez?
Al Bladez started sharing lawn mowing videos on YouTube in May 2020. Back in the beginning, Al’s content was centered on his grass-cutting business, and the jobs he did around his town, slowly gaining an audience by giving tips about mowing tools and techniques, also sharing speed-up videos of his projects which were not only educational for mowing practioners, but also relaxing for a huge part of his audience.
As his channel grew, Al’s content took a different route, filming how he cleaned seemingly abandoned lawns in his community. That type of content turned Al’s channel into an online sensation, as his titles effectively attracted lots of viewers every time, and the videos’ content kept everyone entertained from start to finish.
This content strategy was the push forward that Al needed to turn his formerly local-only business into an online brand, to the point that now he has more than just a popular YouTube channel, expanding to selling merchandise, and gaining sponerships from big brands related to his content niche. That has also translated into very good financial growth for him, thus some online sources have estimated his net worth as high as $1.7 million, as of early 2025.
What About His Lawsuit?
In September 2023, Al shared a video entitled “ANGRY Homeowner FREAKED OUT and is THREATENING to Sue Me!”, which featured a lawn mowing project in which he and his team worked for four days before the property owner threatened them with legal action for featuring their property on videos without permission.
According to Al, the legal complaint was first notified by YouTube as a privacy complaint, and given two days to remove the content he had first shared from that project in particular. It was also claimed by Al that he had proper permission to film the grass cutting process unfold on the property, but that didn’t stop the homeowner from threatening him with a lawsuit, leaving him no option but to stop mowing and filming.
As Al kept recalling in his video, the homeowner also claimed that he had damaged their property. It didn’t stop there, though, as the person also found Al’s contact and started sending him messages, which he described as stalker-ish.
Unfortunately, Al didn’t reveal more details about the situation after the aforementioned video was posted on YouTube, but it’s highly possible that the issue never got to the court, given that there aren’t online records available about it on the internet.
Criticism
It isn’t rare for Al Bladez to exaggerate a little on his video titles, about certain situations featured in them. That often turns out well for his content, given that his loyal audience already knows what to expect from his videos, and there are always new viewers who get caught by the promise of seeing some drama unfold while Al mows lawns.

Nonetheless, that approach isn’t always well-appreciated by everyone, and has resulted in online users giving their two cents about it. As read on fan communities such as Reddit, some users find Al’s preference for so-called ‘clickbait’ titles negative, including those of videos in which he claims that homeowners are upset about him mowing their lawn. Al’s claim that he does those jobs for free is also disputed by critics and fans, given that his videos are monetized, even though he doesn’t bill homeowners for the work he does on their lawns and backyards.
However, the most constant, and perhaps relevant, criticism about Al’s content has to do with the permission, or lack thereof, to cut the grass on the properties featured in his videos. The basis for these claims is that Al himself confirms in many of his videos that he doesn’t get permission from homeowners to mow their yards and instead consults people’s neighbors or other third parties.
Health Issues & Transformation
Al Bladez has gone through some health issues that he’s been sincere about with his audience. Back in June 2024, he took some time off YouTube without much of an explanation., which inevitably worried his audience, as it was the first time in a while that Al had stopped sharing videos with his usual consistency.
Fast forward to July, Al went back to YouTube with an update about his health condition. Though he seemed to be fine enough to mow his yard, he also admitted that a month before he had been experiencing such a serious case of migraines that he had to stop working altogether. His health check resulted in a visit to the dentist, where he was informed that he had a serious case of infection that needed to be treated very quickly.
According to Al, he was put on antibiotics, and was meant to undergo surgery in late July, just days after he shared the video. Although he didn’t reveal too many details about his condition after the procedure, it’s safe to assume that he recovered well, since he later resumed his usual video-sharing activities and mowing operation.
That isn’t the only health-related event that Al has opened up about, though. As he’s proudly shared on his Instagram since 2025, he’s working towards improving his health and physical condition, which entails building muscle and adopting healthy habits. This new chapter of Al’s life is positive for everyone, including his audience, as his updates make them feel more connected to him and his struggles, beyond just mowing grass.
The Future
It doesn’t seem that Al Bladez will be slowing down anytime soon. In 2024, his YouTube channel went over the one million subscribers mark, and he also has millions of followers across social media platforms. His audience comprise mostly people who love what he does, and appreciate the efforts he makes to mow people’s lawns everywhere, despite the criticism he’s generated because of it.
While Al’s content niche has remained the same since he started sharing videos in 2020, there’s no doubt that his audience also appreciates him on a personal level, thanks to his upfront attitude and sincerity Al has always shown them on his videos and other content. Although his content strategies aren’t always well-received by everyone, that isn’t enough to stop him anyway.
