While the show’s main stars spot is undoubtedly reserved for Mike Hall and Avery Shoaf, other members of the cast have gained the audience’s approval thanks to their skills and personalities. One of those is Cassidy Mceown, the youngest crew member of “Rust Bros Restorations”, who’s a great mechanic and an up-and-coming automotive social media content creator.

So how successful has Cassidy’s career been, and what is she doing these days? Is she still in the show, or has begun walking a separate path? Keep with us to find out!

Where Is Cassidy Now?

Much to the joy of “Rust Valley Restorers” fans, Cassidy Mceown is still working with Mike Hall and the rest of his car restoration crew. As confirmed by her social media posts, Cassidy often has a good time restoring cars, with her tasks being mechanical and painting jobs at the shop.

Regarding Cassidy and the rest of the beloved show’s cast, they’re still going strongly on TV, even surviving the long-lasting hiatus the show took off the air following their fifth season’s finale in 2022. The show returned in late 2024 with the entire cast.

Despite being away from TV cameras for as long as the show’s hiatus lasted, Cassidy’s fans didn’t lose track of her daily life thanks to her social media, in which she’s built quite a massive following thanks to her charisma and knack for creating entertaining videos related to her profession.

Some other times Cassidy also shares the most personal aspects of her life, such as the time she revealed that her father passed away in February 2023. Some months before that, she’d organized a funding campaign to help her afford a wheelchair for him, as he’d long been suffering from health issues.

Following the sad event, Cassidy took a break from social media for a while, before returning a couple of months later to maintain her usual automotive-centered updates.

What Happened to “Rust Valley Restorers”?

Throughout the “Rust Valley Restorers” hiatus from TV between its fifth and sixth seasons, fans couldn’t help but wonder whether the show was coming back at all. That off-the-air period extended for almost two years before a new season was announced in late 2024, but the relief over the new season came with many questions regarding the hiatus.

As it happened, there’s no clear explanation as to why “Rust Valley Restorers” took so long to premiere new episodes, though it’s fair to suspect that it was due to issues with the production’s schedules. Back in mid-2023, Connor Hall affirmed on an Instagram video that they had already filmed the upcoming show’s season, but had no information about when it was going to premiere. He also pointed out that he and his father Mike had been focused on their construction and landscaping company, and hadn’t been too much into restoring cars.

Following the announcement of a sixth season in late 2024, Mike affirmed that he was aware that fans had been waiting for a long time, but so was he, to the point that he’d already forgotten the cars that “Rust Bros Restorations” had built for the season. After that, a seventh season wasn’t announced right away, but most fans surely have kept  uptheir hopes up for it.

Did Mike Sell His Cars?

One of the reasons that made “Rust Valley Restorers” fans so afraid of not seeing another season of the show premiere after 2022, was the fact that Mike Hall has been selling his cars for some time. As it happens, the show has always been centered around Mike’s massive obsession with collecting cars, but having no cars meant that there was nothing to restore and film for the show.

Those fears didn’t become a reality, though it was true that Mike sold a huge number of his once-massive collection, which was once around 600 cars. As reported in 2022, Mike auctioned over 500 of his beloved vehicles that year, keeping around 40 of them stored in his backyard. Though this might still sound like a big number for most people, Mike’s addiction to collecting these has been going on for decades, meaning that it was a big step forward for him to say goodbye to so many of his vehicles.

However, that open space in his backyard didn’t last long. Soon enough, Mike re-urchased some of the auctioned car, and got bought some new ones. Later in 2024, Mike confirmed that he was back at having over 100 cars, meaning that there’s still a lot of material to be shown in “Rust Valley Restorers, if a seventh season happens to be on the plans.

Other Projects by Cassidy

Besides appearing in “Rust Valley Restorers” and working for Mike Hall, Cassidy Mceown seems to have many plans for the future. For one, her social media presence is ever-growing, with her having thousands of followers on both Instagram and TikTok.

While having a strong media presence is important for anyone with a business, Cassidy takes content creation very seriously, to the point that she joined the Instagram subscription program in April 2024, allowing her followers to financially support her work with just a click.

That said, Cassidy also has a YouTube channel on which she shares bits about her work and personal life. This channel also helped her to keep her fans updated about her whereabouts for as long as “Rust Valley Restorers” was off-the-air, though it’s also worth noting that she keeps sharing content on this platform even after the sixth season’s premiere in late 2024.

Back in 2021, Cassidy revealed her intentions of starting her own restoration shop, and while it’s unclear how close she is to achieving this goal, there’s no denying that she’s doing an excellent job at promoting her work and involvement in “Rust Valley Restorers”.
