Diego Boneta is a Mexican-American actor, producer and singer, who is perhaps best known for playing the protagonist roles in the film “Rock of Ages”, and the series “Luis Miguel: The Series.”
Age, Early Life, and Education Background
Diego Andrés González Boneta was born under the Sagittarius zodiac sign on 29 November 1990, in Mexico City, Mexico, and is 32 years old as of 2022. He’s the son of the engineers, Astrid Boneta who is Puerto Rican, and his wife Lauro Gonzalez who is Spanish. Andrés was raised a Roman Catholic alongside his siblings, Santiago Gonzáles Boneta and Natalia Gonzáles Boneta, and spent his childhood in both Mexico City and Los Angeles, California USA. His other appearances were in the films “Monster Party” in 2018, “Terminator: Dark Fate” in 2019, and “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters” in 2020, among others. Diego was featured as a cover model in the 2011 issue of “March Men Madness” by TROIX Magazine. He was featured in the campaign, “Making of a Star” by the American lifestyle retailer, Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) in 2014 – his photos were taken by the American fashion photographer, Bruce Weber, and they were featured in many A&F retail stores worldwide.

Boneta’s performance in “Rock of Ages” saw him win two awards: an ALMA for Favorite Movie Actor, and a CinemaCon Award for Rising Star, both in 2012; in the same year and for his role in the same film, he was nominated for a Teen Choice Award. Boneta was rumored to be dating his “Luis Miguel: The Series” co-star, Camila Sodi in the past – The rumor began after they were allegedly spotted holding hands and kissing by their fans. After they broke up, Camila went on to date the Mexican actor, Ivan Sanchez, while in 2011, Diego dated the American actress, singer and dancer Julianne Hough. Moreover, he also dated the oldest daughter of the Mexican singer, Luis Miguel, whose name is Michelle Salas.
Boneta was romantically linked with the French-Mexican actress, Angelique Boyer, who is known for her roles in the Mexican telenovelas, “Teresa” and “Abismo de pasión.” They began dating in March 2006, but parted ways in January 2010.
