Who is Federico Castelluccio?
Italian-American actor and painter Federico Castelluccio was born in Naples, Campania, Italy, on 29 April 1964, so his zodiac sign’s Taurus. He’s appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series, and is probably best known for playing Furio Giunta in the critically acclaimed crime series “The Sopranos”, which starred Edie Falco, Lorraine Bracco and James Gandolfini, and was created by Davis Chase. It follows the life of mob boss Tony Soprano, the series aired from 1999 through 2007, and won 143 of the 452 awards for which it was nominated.
Education and early life
Federico spent the first three years of his life in Naples, before moving to Paterson, New Jersey USA with his family; he hasn’t shared a lot about them, and it’s only known that his father’s name is Leonzio Castelluccio.
He became interested in painting while attending a local high school, and won a couple of school art competitions; Federico was also passionate about sports, and played soccer for the school team. While still attending high school, he produced a painting for the late American comedian and actor George Burns.
Upon matriculating in 1982, Federico enrolled at New York City’s School of Visual Arts on a full scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in media and painting arts in 1986.

Federico’s had four TV series roles; his debut was playing Maltese Guard in four episodes of the romantic drama “Another World” from 1991 through 1996, and his following role was in “The Sopranos”.
In 2003, he portrayed Brian Vaughn in the episode “It’s to Die For” of the crime mystery “NYPD Blue”, and the year 2008 saw him play Frank Chess in the episode “Contract” of the action mystery “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”.
Roles in movies
Federico’s debut movie role was playing Bar Patron in the 1997 romantic drama “Grind”, and he could then have been seen appearing in the 1999 crime drama “18 Shades of Dust”, the 2001 crime comedy “Made”, and the 2002 crime drama “Fire”.
He gained recognition in 2006, by portraying Antonio’s Father in the crime drama “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints”, written and directed by Dito Montiel, and which starred Robert Downey Jr, Rosario Dawson and Shia LaBeouf. It follows a boy growing up in the ‘80s Astoria, New York City while his friends are ending up in jail, addicted to drugs or dead, and the film won eight of its 17 award nominations. Federico could then have been seen playing supporting characters in the fantasy adventure “Dragon Dynasty” and the biographical musical drama “El Cantante” both in 2006, and the 2007 short drama “The Obscure Brother”.
In 2009, he portrayed Turin Guide in the action adventure comedy “The Pink Panther 2”, directed by Harald Zwart, and which starred Steve Martin, Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer. It follows Inspector Jacques Clouseau who’s teamed up with several international detectives in an attempt to catch a thief who steals historical artifacts; the movie was nominated for three awards.
Federico played Santo Bastucci in the 2010 short crime drama “Lily of the Feast”, and the following year saw him appear in both the short action “Keep Your Enemies Closer” and the romantic comedy “The Decoy Bride”.
The year 2016 he played Zucci in the crime action “The Brooklyn Banker”, which he also directed. The movie starred Troy Garity, Paul Sorvino and David Proval, and follows a banker who’s excellent at memorizing numbers, and who’s now been hired by a mobster.
Federico’s three most recent movie roles have been in the 2021 comedy “The Families Feud”, the action crime comedy “The Mick and the Tick” and the action adventure fantasy “Operation Dagon” both in 2022.

Since 1 June 2011, Federico’s been married to American actress and producer Yvonne Maria Schafer, who’s appeared in more than 30 movies and TV series, and has won one of her eight award nominations; Yvonne’s probably best known for playing Carol in the 2017 comedy movie “Little West 12th Street”, Janis in the 2019 romantic film “Berlin, I Love You” and Rachel in the 2020 horror movie “Home Stay”.
Federico and Yvonne have no children together, and this is believed to be because they’re both still focused on their careers.
Federico’s yet to speak of other women whom he’s maybe dated, he’s married to Yonne Maria Schafer as of January 2023, and doesn’t have children.

Federico’s a co-owner of the Italian pasta-to-go restaurant Attilio’s Pasta Kitchen.
In 2013, he discovered that a 17th century painting by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri was to be sold at an auction as an 18th century painting, and it had been identified incorrectly. Federico purchased the painting for $68,000, spent another $72,000 on restoring and moving it, and its value was then estimated at over $10 million.
More than 45,000 people are following Federico on Instagram today, but he’s posted only 45 pictures onto the social media network.
He’s passionate about music, and plays the guitar; his favorite singer is Sting.
