Where Is Mike Now?
There’s no denying that Horny Mike, whose real name is Michael Henry, was one of the main reasons people tuned in episode after episode of “Counting Cars”. Now that the show is no longer on air, its once-loyal viewers continue stop wondering what’s up with Mike and the rest of the cast.
As it happens, Horny Mike is not only still working in Count’s Kustoms but there’s also a way to keep watching what his current projects are about. As seen in the YouTube channel Count’s Kustoms Network, Horny Mike is busier than ever creating 3D models and doing airbrushing jobs for Danny.
Much to the joy of his long-time fans, Horny Mike keeps his Facebook and Instagram accounts up to date with pics and videos of his latest projects, events, and even his views about political topics. On top of that, he seems to wear his stylish 3D horns less often these days, but isn’t afraid of showing videos of his vacations and the results of his gym efforts.
All in all, everything seems to be going great for Horny Mike these days.
Net Worth
The salary of reality TV stars is one of those topics which everyone talks about but very few know the truth behind it. That’s why it’s unsurprising that many long-time fans of “Counting Cars” still wonder how much the show’s stars earned throughout the ten seasons the show was on air, and how they’re doing financially these days.
According to online sources, Horny Mike had an estimated net worth of $2 million, which supposedly comes from his TV appearances, his job at Count’s Kustoms and his 3D printing business.
While this estimation doesn’t sound too wild when compared to other famous reality TV stars, it also seems unlikely that his TV appearances alone would have turned Mike into a millionaire, especially considering he wasn’t the main star of “Counting Cars”.
So with that being said, Mike’s fortune is presumably lower than reported or he’s very successful at his side, non-show-related endeavors to match these estimations.
What’s His Business About?
Besides working at Count’s Kustoms and formerly appearing in “Counting Cars”, Horny Mike also has an accessory brand. As seen on his shop’s website, Mike designs everything from caps and shirts to 3D-printed horns for helmets and bandanas.
The horn sets designed by Mike are varied not only in shape but also in color, successfully producing stylish yet eccentric accessories to suit all tastes. The price ranges upwards from simple articles costing $20 for the simple sets to much more for the most complex designs.
Regarding his decision to start 3D-printing articles, Mike affirms that he took on this form of art when he used his airbrushing skills on a wide variety of surfaces and articles, including bikes and even walls. Nevertheless, his artistic side wanted more than that, leading Mike to explore the wonders of 3D printing, as he once commented on the Buffalo Chip news website.
This form of art has also been explored by Mike in his job at Count’s Kustoms, as he’s proudly shown on social media the results of his 3D print efforts when put on cars.
What’s The Meaning Of His Horns?
Despite how iconic Horny Mike is, many people don’t know why he likes putting horns on everything, and what is the meaning behind those. Nonetheless, Mike already confessed his love for horn in an interview with TheSun.my, during a visit to Myanmar in 2017.
As it happens, Horny Mike started putting horns on things long before “Counting Cars” aired. According to him, he liked horns and thought it was plausible for people to start sticking horns on their helmets as well, similar to what had already happened when putting mohawks on helmets had become a trend.
Mike patented everything about his invention, naturally adopting the nickname Horny Mike just as his brand name said. The name stuck on, but the word ‘horny’ had become ‘dirty’ with time and that was never his intention.
In the same fashion, people have commonly associated horns with ‘the devil’, as Mike admitted in the same interview. Nevertheless, Mike assures that his concept has nothing to do with it, as his intention was always to have fun with simple and attention-attracting accessories.
What Did Mike Do Before The Show?
The story of Horny Mike is an inspiring one. Long before he worked for Danny ‘The Count’ Koker, Mike was just an 18-year-old boy in Michigan who lived in a trailer and tried to make a living as a car and bike wrencher.
Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out well for Mike, but the experience of working in something he wasn’t good at taught him a lot of things, as he confessed in an interview with Philstar.com in 2017.
Some years later, Mike moved to Las Vegas and set up an airbrushing business on Fremont Street, where he painted everything from t-shirts to license plates. As he described it, Mike was known for putting ‘goofy’ hearts on clothes and accessories, successfully paying his bills that way for a long time.
Time passed until he met Danny Koker and started working for him, also meeting the other guys at Count’s Kustoms as the business grew and the TV show eventually came around. All of it gained Mike and the rest such unbelievable fame that people still want to know about them several years after the show’s cancellation. That gives us a great idea of how much of an impact “Counting Cars” had on their audience, and boosted the cast’s career!
