As “Counting Cars” head painter, Ryan Evans’ skills can be seen in most of the works that Count’s Kustoms takes in. His almost unmatched painting skills go hand in hand with his excellent aesthetic sense, bringing risky but always good-looking design concepts to life.
Ryan’s painting mastery wasn’t born out of nowhere, though. Ryan initially found himself fascinated by airbrushing was when his parents gave him a t-shirt with his name painted on it, which was mind-blowing for the then-young Ryan. Later, when he was attending high school, Ryan’s art lessons had him exploring the wonders of airbrushing by himself.
Despite his growing attachment to art, Ryan never undertook any professional lessons on the craft, following a self-taught path for the following decades, as he revealed in an X’s video. Ryan lived and worked for some time in Texas, later moving to Nevada, where he set up a paint shop in Las Vegas, as he told The Collision Vision podcast in 2023.

By the time “Counting Cars” premiered in 2012, Ryan was already an important part of the shop’s staff.

Horny Mike, whose real name is Michael Henry, has been working with “Counting Cars” for a long time. His painting jobs are easily recognizable by his distinctive preference for brilliant colors and daring designs, though when Mike is given total freedom over his creations, he doesn’t waste time in putting giant horns over the car or bike, on top of painting it green neon paint where he deems it more fitting.
Mike’s love for horns is so great that he turned it into a business, even owning a patent which makes him the only person legally able to sell horn accessories for helmets and bandanas. He has a shop where he sells his creations and also allows his fans to book him for private car events. He also makes appearances in car events related to Count’s Kustoms, alongside Ryan Evans and other renowned crafters and artists from the shop.
