It doesn’t matter the age or the time when talent speaks loudly. For Angelina Jordan, the right time came when she caught the hearts of millions by debuting in “America’s Got Talent”: The Champions” in 2020. It was her unique voice, her 1950s-reminiscing performance, and the wide range of feelings she expressed through her voice that turned her participation in the show into an online sensation, to the point that she remained relevant even after not winning the competition.

What most people don’t know is that the young Angelina not only had her fair share of music experiences before making it to “America’s Got Talent”, but also that she keeps pushing forward her career by keeping loyal to her roots and nostalgic style these days.

So what is Angelina Jordan doing these days and what are her plans for the future? Has she found any success so far? What about her music now? Keep with us to discover this and more!

Where Is Angelina Jordan Now?

It’s been a couple of years since Angelina Jordan set foot in “America’s Got Talent” spin-off “The Champions” and left everyone open-mouthed with her other-worldly voice. Often covering songs by Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra, it isn’t rare for Angelina to evoke nostalgia with her voical performances, turning her artistry into something scarcely heard in today’s music.

Although Angelina’s run in “The Champions” didn’t result in victory, the experience brought her a taste of American fame that eventually encouraged her to move to the country from her native Norway. This new exciting chapter in Angelina’s young career has had positive results, as she was signed to Republic Records in 2020, and has since then released several extended plays (EPs) and singles, including original songs and covers.

One of those is the successful “Old Enough” EP, which main song “Love Don’t Let Me Go” has gained Angelina millions of streams both on music platforms and on its official music video. There’s also the 2023 EP “Driving Home For Christmas”, which landed Angelina a Christmas Special show in the Los Angeles-based El Rey Theatre in December 2024.

All in all, it has been a successful path for Angelina since her “America’s Got Talent” debut, and though her career is still in its early stages, there’s no denying that she’s on a good path.

Before “America’s Got Talent”

While Angelina Jordan’s 2020 rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” in “The Champions” was a game changer for many, it took her a long way to get there.

Angelina first rose to fame in 2014 when she performed Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday” in the sixth season of “Norway’s Got Talent”, leaving the audiences amazed by her talent. She was only seven years old at the time, but her age didn’t stop her from winning the competition and having her audition video become viral on the internet. Also that year, Angelina had a small role in the Norwegian series “Lilyhammer”.

In the following years, Angelina appeared in several TV shows in her country and also gained international fame by having her videos covered by big news platforms such as People and Mirror Daily. It wasn’t rare for Angelina to be compared with Amy Winehouse, to the point she was even mistaken with the late soul singer in her childhood.

Even back during her “Norway’s Got Talent” days, one of Angelina’s characteristics which took the most attention was her habit of singing barefoot. She explained the reason in her 2015 book “Between Two Hearts”, which tells the story of how the young Angelina felt compelled to give her shoes to a shoeless girl during one of her performances at a charity event, adopting the habit from there and never letting it go.

Early Music & Debut In America

Although it’s widely believed that Angelina Jordan’s debut on American TV was in “America’s Got Talent”, that’s not the case. The first time the singer set foot on a US stage was on the talk show “The View” in 2014 when she performed Frank Sinatra’s version of “Fly Me To The Moon”. This performance came not long after her videos from “Norway’s Got Talent” went viral. Also that year she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and released a single entitled “My Christmas”.

The following year Angelina released a self-entitled EP which included covers of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ hit “I Put a Spell on You”, and Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”, gaining millions of views on YouTube of each song’s music videos. One year later, she returned to American TV by appearing in the show “Little Big Shots”, before performing in the UK version of the show in 2017.

Over the next couple of years, Angelina performed at several events in her native Norway and released the cover album “It’s Magic”. Later in 2018, the then-11-year-old Angelina and her family moved to the US to find new opportunities career-wise. That worked well right away, as by 2019 Angelina debuted in the second season of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, though the episode wasn’t aired until early 2020.

Her Music Now

There’s no denying that Angelina Jordan’s rise to fame was mostly thanks to her covers, but her career has experienced an important switch since being signed by Republic Records in 2020. The first single under the American label was “Million Miles”, which was co-written by her and gained millions of streams on music platforms. Three different videos of the song have been shared on YouTube, accumulating almost nine million views to date.

Although Angelina’s performances experienced a setback as the COVID-19 restrictions unfolded, she continued to  release music during those times; the oginal song “7th Heaven” in 2021, followed by “Love Don’t Let Me Go” and “Our Time” in 2023.

The year 2024 has alsoseen Angelina working on her music non-stop, resulting in the release of “If I Were A Boy”, “Bad Valentine” and “What A Wonderful World” alongside Grammy winner producer and songwriter Toby Gad. Though out of those only “Bad Valentine” was an original song, the collaboration brought both artists lots of media coverage and thousands of video views and streams.

Last but not least, Angelina has also exponentially grown on social media in recent years. Nowadays, she has over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined, while her main YouTube channel is close to hitting the one million subscribers mark, and her secondary one for covers is almost 500,000.

So what does the future have in store for Angelina Jordan? That’s unclear, but there’s no doubt that she’s working hard to accomplish her dreams.
