Early life and education
Jolie was raised in California alongside her elder brother Jairek. Their father is Tony Robbins, a famous American life coach and philanthropist, while their mother is also a famous life coach, Becky Robbins. The two married in 1982, when Jolie was eight years old, but divorced in 2001.
Jolie attended Torrey Pines High School, and during her time there showed interest in acting. Her parents enrolled her at an acting school, and she appeared in numerous small production plays at that time. She graduated from Occidental College, Los Angeles, in 1996, with a Bachelor’s degree in theatre.
