Who is Cassidy Freeman?

Cassidy Freeman was born in Chicago, Illinois USA, on 22 April 1982 – her zodiac sign is Taurus and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and a musician, probably still known best for her portrayal of Tess Mercer in the romantic adventure series “Smallville”, created by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, and which starred Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum and Allison Mack. It follows Clark Kent who is still learning to control his powers while living in Smallville in Kansas as a teenager; the series aired from 2001 to 2011, and won 34 awards including three Primetime Emmys while it was nominated for 155 other awards.

Early life and education

Cassidy was raised in Chicago alongside her two biological and one adoptive brother, by their parents Lee and Glynna Freeman, both of whom were lawyers and owners of a cattle ranch in Montana. Cassidy’s brother Clark is a musician, while her other biological brother Crispin is a voice actor.

She studied at The Latin School of Chicago, at which she was interested in various activities such as acting, dancing and running track, and Cassidy was urged by her parents to focus on her education and obtain a college degree. Upon matriculating in 2001, she enrolled at Middlebury College from which she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre in 2005.
