Who is Lexi Underwood?
Lexi Underwood was born in Cheverly, Maryland USA, on 28 August 2003 – her zodiac sign is Virgo and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and a singer, who’s probably known best for her portrayal of Pearl Warren, one of the lead characters in the critically acclaimed 2020 mini-series “Little Fires Everywhere” created by Liz Tigelaar, and which also starred Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington and Rosemarie DeWitt. It follows the lives of the Richardson family, and the series won three of the 33 awards for which it was nominated, including five Primetime Emmy nominations.
Early life and education
Lexi was raised in Washington, D.C. – as she hasn’t spoken about having any siblings, most people believe her to be an only child.
She respects her parents’ privacy, and thus hasn’t shared any details concerning them, however, it’s known that they monitored her social media accounts during her early teen years.
Lexi attended a local elementary school where she became interested in acting, and her parents thus enrolled her at a school of the performing arts, while she also practiced acting at a community theatre. She launched her career in 2014 aged 11, when she played a dancer in the musical comedy film “Dance-Off”, written by Amy George and Mark Goodman, directed by Alex Di Marco, and which starred Shane Harper, Kathryn McCormick and Finola Hughes. It follows two dance teams competing at the National Nationals Championship.
In the same year, Lexi made her debut TV series appearance, with her portrayal of Queen Bee in the episode “Brotherhood” of the critically acclaimed action crime drama “Person of Interest”.
She continued acting throughout her entire education, and just recently in 2021, Lexi has matriculated and chosen not to pursue a college degree, but to focus on acting.
Roles in movies
In 2016, she played Young Charlotte in the horror “The Crooked Man” but which received poor reviews. In the following year, Lexi played Jennifer in the comedy “The Nerd Posse” written by Nyna Lyle, directed by Anabelle D. Munro and Suzette Troche Stapp, and which starred Andrew Bowen, Benjamin Stockham and Jacob Hopkins. It follows a group of young misfits who regularly visit the movie theatre The Brave Cave, which screens animated movies and often organizes cosplay gatherings and competitions. It was nominated for two awards.
The year 2017 also saw her star as Koko in the short family film “Girl Minus”, which failed to attract any attention. Lexi then made her debut voicing performance, by lending her voice to Paige in the short animated comedy “The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special”.
Her only other movie role has been her portrayal of Jillian in the 2019 drama “If Not Now, When?”, written and directed by Tamara Bass, who also starred in it alongside Joelle Ashley and Shamicka Benn. It follows the friendship between four young women. Lexi’s currently shooting for the upcoming musical family comedy “Sneakerella”, set to be released by the end of 2021.

In 2016, Lexi played Emily Campbell in the episode “Ave Maria” of the drama “Code Black” which was very popular, and the following years saw her appear in an episode or two of various critically acclaimed series, such as the family action comedy “Henry Danger”, the family comedy “Raven’s Home”, and the family science fiction “Will vs. The Future”.
She gained recognition in 2017 with her portrayal of Nice Nancy in the reality comedy “Walk the Prank”, and in 2019, Lexi portrayed Ava in four episodes of the comedy “Family Reunion” created by Meg DeLoatch, and which starred Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Anthony Alabi and Talia Jackson. It follows the moving of the McKellan family from Seattle to Georgia, and the series won two of the seven awards for which it was nominated, including a Primetime Emmy nomination. In the same year, she guest starred as Amy in the episode “The Pied Piper” of the family comedy “No Good Nick”, and as Keely Mendoza-Smith in the episode “Rusty” of the mystery crime drama “Criminal Minds”.
Lexi’s most recent TV series appearance has been her portrayal of Ella in a 2021 episode of the fantasy horror comedy “Just Beyond”; she’s currently shooting as Malia Obama for the upcoming biographical historical drama “The First Lady”.
In 2018, Lexi served as the automated dialogue replacement (adr) actress for the action sports movie “Dirt”.
In 2016, she was featured in the TV special “Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards”, and the following years saw her make a guest appearance in various talk-shows, such as “FTS Kids News” in 2016, “Teens Wanna Know” in 2017, and “Access Hollywood” in 2021.

Lexi’s very secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t spoken of any boys or girls whom she has perhaps been with, which is one of the reasons why there are rumors circulating the internet concerning her relationships.
Most of her fans believe that her parents have forbade her to date until she turns 18, while others claim that the popular actress is seeing a mysterious boy as of April 2021, but is keeping the relationship hidden from both her parents and media.
According to rumors, the two have been seen holding hands on a couple of occasions, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims, nor has Lexi commented on this.
She today appears to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Lexi’s a fan of social media networks, and is quite active on Instagram because of the attention she’s receiving. She’s followed by more than 160,000 people, and has uploaded around 100 pictures, most of which have been taken during her everyday life.
