Israel was raised in Saucier, Mississippi alongside his older sister Aubrey, by their mother Angela who worked at Mary Kay as a cosmetics consultant, and their father Lawrence Clayton Adams who died in 1999. Angela went on to marry Gil Broussard, who adopted Israel and his sister – she gave birth to Israel’s half-brother.
Israel became interested in acting upon enrolling at a local high school, and he began appearing in school plays. In 2010 aged 16, he made his debut film appearance in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy “Flipped”, written and directed by Rob Reiner, and which starred Madeline Carroll, Callan McAuliffe and Rebecca De Mornay.
It follows two 14-year olds as they fall in love with each other even though they are entirely different; the movie won two of the four awards it was nominated for. The same year also saw Israel appear in two episodes of the comedy series “Romantically Challenged”, and portray Hunter in the short action adventure movie “Mad Dog and the Flyboy”. In 2011 while still at high school, Israel played the supporting character Josh in the action family comedy film “The Chaperone”.

In 2013, Israel portrayed the lead character Miles in the short musical “M83: Claudia Lewis”, and in 2014 he played Cameron – Kid that Pushes Tuck in the adventure family science fiction “Earth to Echo”, written by Henry Gayden, directed by Dave Green and which starred Teo Halm, Astro and Reese Hartwig. It follows a group of children going on an adventure with an alien who’s in need of their help; the movie won two of the three awards it was nominated for.
The year 2015 saw him portray supporting characters in the family drama “Jack of the Red Hearts”, the crime drama “Perfect High”, and the mystery thriller drama “H8RZ”.

Israel has appeared in only four TV series including “Romantically Challenged”. The year 2013 saw him portray Joey Noone in the episode “Sweet and Vaded” of the hit crime thriller drama “Sons of Anarchy”, which won 11 awards including a Golden Globe, while it was nominated for 56 other awards, and in 2016 he played James McCallister in the episodes “Date of Death” and “Do Not Disturb”, of the horror science fiction drama “Fear the Walking Dead”.
