Who is Elizabeth Lail?

Elizabeth Dean Lail was born in Williamson County, Texas USA, on 25 March 1992 – her zodiac sign is Aries and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress who’s probably known best for her portrayal of the lead character Amy Hughes in the 2016 fantasy horror series “Dead of Summer”, created by Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz and Ian Goldberg, and which also starred Elizabeth Mitchell and Alberto Frezza. It revolves around Camp Stillwater, where ancient mythology comes to life in the summer of 1989; the series won one of the three awards it was nominated for.

Early life and education

Elizabeth was raised alongside her older sister Kathryn in Asheboro, North Carolina, as the family moved there not long after Elizabeth was born.

Her parents are Kay Lurene Surratt and Dean Frankline Lail, but nothing about them is known, as they prefer to avoid the media.

Then in 2014, Elizabeth starred as Emily in the short drama “Without”, written and directed by Joseph McNamara Hefner, and which also starred Noelle Franco and Alex Gagne. It follows two women as they reflect back on the time when they felt connected to each other.

She appeared in her first feature movie in 2018 when she portrayed Lea, the lead character in the thriller drama “Unintended”, written and directed by Anja Murmann, and which also starred Hannah Westerfield and Nathan Keyes. It follows a young woman who killed someone when she was 12 and is still trying to forget, while the memories keep returning to haunt her.

In 2019, Elizabeth played Quinn Harris, the main character in the horror thriller “Countdown”, written and directed by Justin Dec and which also starred Talitha Eliana Bateman and Jordan Calloway. It follows a nurse who has just downloaded an app which tells a person when they’re going to die, and learns that she’ll be killed in three days.

Elizabeth’s most recent role in a movie has been in 2020, when she voiced the narrator in the short animated drama “End Live-Shackle Slaughter PSA”.

Roles in TV series

Elizabeth made her debut TV series appearance in 2014, when she portrayed both Princess Anna and Joan in the romantic fantasy adventure “Once Upon a Time”, created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and which starred Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin.

It follows a girl who moves to Maine and there witnesses that fairy tales do come true. The series aired from 2011 to 2018, and won 12 awards of the 106 it was nominated for, including seven Primetime Emmys.

The following years saw Elizabeth make a guest appearance in an episode of various series, including the mystery crime dramas “The Blacklist” and “The Good Fight”. Her next notable performance was her portrayal of Guinevere Beck in the romantic crime drama “You”, created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, and which starred Penn Badgley, Ambyr Childers and Victoria Pedretti. It follows a charming man who will do whatever it takes to have his revenge on those who have hurt him; the series won two of the seven awards it was nominated for.

Elizabeth is currently shooting for the upcoming drama “Ordinary Joe”, set to be released late in 2021.
