Early life, family and education
Pauline was raised in the Hell’s Kitchen borough of New York City, alongside her younger brother Timothee Hal Chalamet, by their French father Marc who is working for UNICEF as an editor, and their mother Nicole Flender who’s a real estate broker. Her brother Timothee’s a famous actor, probably known best for his portrayal of Elio Perlman in the 2017 romantic drama movie “Call Me by Your Name”. Timothee has already been nominated for an Oscar (Academy Award), three BAFTA Film Awards and two Golden Globes.
Pauline became interested in acting even before she enrolled at elementary school, and was eventually noticed by a talent scout.
Her parents took her to a couple of auditions, and her acting career was launched in 1999 aged seven, when she played Emma Doyle in an episode of the soap opera “One Life to Live”, which aired from 1968 to 2013, and numbered 3,536 episodes.
