Who is Peyton Meyer?

Peyton Meyer was born in Las Vegas, Nevada USA on 24 November 1998 – his zodiac sign is Sagittarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor and a model, with eight acting credits to his name, and is perhaps known best for his portrayal of Lucas Friar, in the family comedy series “Girl Meets World”. It was created by April Kelly and Michael Jacobs, starred Rowan Blanchard, Ben Savage and Sabrina Carpenter, and follows the lives of the married couple Topanga and Cory Matthews, and their daughter Riley. The series aired from 2014 to 2017, and won three of the 24 awards for which it was nominated, including three Primetime Emmy nominations.

Early life, siblings and education

Peyton was raised in Las Vegas alongside his siblings Dillon and Cole, by their parents Robert and Elizabeth Meyer, both of whom prefer to be left out of the media’s attention, thus not a lot about them is known.

Peyton grew up being interested in acting, and appeared in various plays performed at both his elementary school, and at a local theatre. He was also into sports, and played baseball for his school’s team. Around a year after he enrolled at a local high school, Peyton launched his acting career with his portrayal of the supporting character Wes Manning, in the family comedy series “Dog with a Blog”. It was created by Philip Stark and Michael B. Kaplan, starred Genevieve Hannelius, Blake Michael and Francesca Capaldi, and follows a family who have adopted the dog called Stan, and have now discovered that it can write and talk.

The series aired from 2012 to 2015, and won two of the 11 awards for which it was nominated, including four Primetime Emmy nominations.

Peyton matriculated in 2017, and then chose not to pursue a college degree, but to continue working his way up in the film industry.

Roles in TV series

In 2015, he played Lucas Friar in the episode “Cyd and Shelby’s Haunted Escape” of the family science fiction comedy “Best Friends Whenever”. It was written by Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff, starred Landry Bender, Lauren Taylor and Gus Kamp, and follows the two girls Cyd and Shelby, who have become able to travel back and forth in time, after their science experiment went awry. It was nominated for three awards.

In 2017, Peyton played Ethan, one of the main characters in the drama “Versus”. It also starred Kristen Nelson and Camille Hyde, and follows the lives of two rival lacrosse players, Lauren and Madison.

In 2019, he guest starred as Bradley in the episode “Chapter Seven: It’ll Last Forever” of the critically acclaimed action comedy “Wayne”. Created by Shawn Simmons, the series starred Mark McKenna, Ciara Bravo and Joshua J. Williams, and follows the 16 years old Wayne, who has embarked on a trip from Boston to Florida on his motorcycle, to retrieve the ‘79 Trans-Am which was stolen from his dad not long before he passed away. The series won one of the two awards for which it was nominated.

Peyton’s only other TV series role has been his portrayal of Trip Windsor in the comedy “American Housewife”, created by Sarah Dunn, it stars Daniel DiMaggio, Diedrich Bader and Katy Mixon, and follows the lives of Katie and her family. The series has been airing since 2016, while Peyton joined the cast in 2018; it’s won one of three awards for which it’s been nominated.

Roles in movies

Peyton has only appeared in a single movie – in 2016 he played Tommy, one of the lead characters in the adventure comedy “Gibby”. It was written by Greg Lyon, directed by Phil Gorn, and also starred Crystal the Monkey and Shannon Elizabeth. The film follows the young teenager Katie whose mother has recently died, while a capuchin monkey’s helping her deal with her depression.

Peyton’s currently shooting for the upcoming romantic comedy “He’s All That”, set to be released on 27 August 2021.

Peyton has been featured in a number of TV specials, such as the 2014 “83rd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade”, and both the 2014 and 2015 “Radio Disney Music Awards”.

Rowan’s also an Instagram star, having amassed more than 5.6 million followers on the network. She and Peyton were together for close to half a year.

In 2017 he began dating Paris Berelc, an American model and actress, probably known best for her portrayal of Skylar Storm, in the Disney XD series “Mighty Med”. The relationship also lasted for around a half a year.

In 2017 and 2018, Peyton was dating Vanessa Rose Lowden, an American model, and in the second half of 2018, he dated American actress Angeline Appel for a couple of months.

As of June 2021, Peyton seems to be in a relationship with Taela, whose Instagram account is followed by around 32,000 followers. She’s a model and a music maker.

Peyton spends the majority of his spare time at the gym, as he enjoys working out – he has five to six training sessions every week, thus his muscular body.
