Who is Gretchen Rossi?

Gretchen Christine Rossi (nee Forward) was born in La Crescenta-Montrose, California USA, on 30 October 1977 – her zodiac sign is Scorpio and she holds American nationality. She’s a TV personality and an actress, who’s probably known best for her starring role in the reality TV series “The Real Housewives of Orange County”, created by Scott Dunlop, and which also starred Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge and Shannon Storms Beador among others. It aired from 2006 to 2021, and follows five families and real housewives who are living in one of the richest planned communities.

Early life and education

Gretchen was raised in California alongside her sister Nicole Forward and brother Ethan Forward, by their father Scott and mother Brenda who prefer to stay away from the media’s attention, thus nothing about them is known.

Gretchen grew up dreaming about becoming a famous model or an actress, and was physically quite active, as she wanted her body to be fit and ready for her modelling career. She studied at Village Christine High School at which she played soccer, volleyball, and was apparently on the school’s cheerleaders’ team. Upon matriculating in 1995, Gretchen enrolled at Baylor University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1999.

Love life, husband and baby

Gretchen began by working as a real estate agent, and in 2004 exchanged vows with the American screenwriter and film producer Chris Rossi, who prefers to stay away from the media’s attention. The two divorced in 2007.

Not long afterwards, Gretchen married the late American businessman and engineer Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Beitzel, who was soon diagnosed with leukemia. This led Gretchen to quit her job to spend all her time with Jeff, who eventually lost his fight for life in 2008.

The two met in the early 2010s and wanted to have children, however, they faced problems and even in 2013 after Gretchen underwent IVF treatment and Slade underwent Vasectomy, Gretchen was still unable to become pregnant. The couple eventually decided to go with Embryo transfer which was a success, and in July 2019, Gretchen gave birth to their daughter Skylar Gray.

Career as an actress

Gretchen has two acting credits: in 2012, she played Debrahlee in the episode “Listen to Your Heart” of the comedy series “Mia Mundo”, which failed to attract any attention and received mixed reviews.

In 2015 she played several characters in the episode “Scheana Shay Rules” of the comedy “TMI Hollywood”, which has been airing since 2012 and stars Matthew Marcy, Jess Ellis and Jason Gianvecchio. Each episode is a comedy sketch show based on the lives of celebrities who occasionally make guest appearances in the series.

Other appearances

In 2009, Gretchen was featured in the TV specials “A-List Awards” and “Fox Reality Really Awards” while she also starred in the reality action show “Gumball 3000”. The year 2010 saw her serve as a celebrity question presenter in the episode “The Real Housewives of Millionaire 4” of the game-show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, while Gretchen then also starred in the documentary comedy mini-series “Undateable”, which covers 100 things which guys do that make them unattractive.

She made a guest appearance in the talk-shows “Home & Family”, “Wonderview” and “Kendra on Top”, and the year 2014 saw her guest star in the series “Red Carpet Report” and “Reality Relapse”.

Gretchen was then invited to appear in eight episodes of the reality show “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” which has been airing since 2014 and stars Ish Major, Venus Nicolino and Jim Carroll; it follows celebrities who are trying to repair their broken relationships.

In 2015, Gretchen was featured in an episode of the series “KCAL 9 News Weekend Report”, as well in the documentary movie “Lord of the Freaks”.

The year 2016 saw her appear in the episode “Going Deep” of the reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, and an episode of the talk-show “FabLife”. In the following year Gretchen was invited to guest star in the talk-show “Daily Pop”.

Between 2010 and 2018, she appeared in four episodes of the talk-show “Watch What Happens: Live”, which has been airing since 2009 and stars Andy Cohen, Mark Behar and NeNe Leakes. It follows Andy as he’s interviewing various celebrities, and the series has been nominated for five awards including a Primetime Emmy. Some of Gretchen’s following appearances have been in an episode of the talk-shows “Who Is America?”, “Celebrity Page” and “Face the Truth”.

In 2019, she was featured in an episode of the talk-show “Tamron Hall” while her most recent appearance has been in the talk-show “The Doctors”, which has been airing since 2008 and has won one of the nine awards for which it has been nominated.

Hobbies and other interests

Gretchen’s favorite season is summer as she enjoys sun tanning at the beach, showing off her body and swimming in the ocean.

She’s keen on travelling and her fiancé has taken her all around the US, while the two have also vacationed in Europe, staying in cities such as Paris in France and Venice in Italy.

Gretchen likes to receive flowers – her favorites are roses.

She’s an animal lover with cats being her favorites, but Gretchen doesn’t have any pets as she believes she doesn’t have enough time to take proper care of them.

She likes Halloween, and doesn’t usually skip on an opportunity to dress up and attend a Halloween party.

In her spare time which is usually late at night, Gretchen’s keen on watching movies starring her favorite actor and actress Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, such as “Meet Joe Black”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Mr. and Mrs Smith”.
