Lily was raised in Brooklyn alongside her sisters Mabel and Nuala Chee, by their American mother Rebecca and their Asian father Max Chee.
She had a rather normal childhood until she turned nine, when she was noticed by a modelling scout, who asked her parents if they would allow her to attend a modelling audition. Lily was soon signed to Wilhelmina Models, and began posing for brands such as Old Navy and Target. She was still attending a local elementary school when she launched her acting career, by appearing in the series “Daredevil”.
Lily studied at a local high school at which she was interested in various activities, such as dancing, playing the guitar and playing tennis.
She should be matriculating in 2022, but it doesn’t appear as if she’s planning to pursue a college degree, rather most likely to continue focusing on acting.

Lily has been credited with appearing in only two movies; in 2017, she portrayed Young Jessica Rho in the action crime drama “Sunset Park”, written and directed by Jason Sarrey, and which starred Michael Trevino, Robert Miano and Sam Douglas. It follows the boxer Gino Sarcione who has to fight outside the ring if he wants to protect the people he loves. The film failed to attract a lot of attention, but still received mostly positive reviews. In 2018, Lily played The Friend in the music video “Annie LeBlanc: Don’t Keep Me Guessing”.

Lily has appearedg in five TV series, including the aforementioned “Daredevil”. In 2019, she played Model Girl in the episode “Chase Goes to a Premiere” of the comedy “The Other Two” created by Sarah Schneider and Chris Kelly, and which stars Helena Yorke, Drew Tarver and Case Walker. It has been airing since 2019, and follows a brother and sister who have begun thinking about their future now that their 13 year-old brother has become a social media star. The series has won one of the five awards for which it has been nominated.
In 2019, Lily played Sarah Britney in five episodes of the family drama “Zoe Valentine”, which stars Anna Cathcart, Diego Velaquez and Carter Southern, and follows Zoe who’s learning how to cope with her sister losing her fight against cancer.
In the same year, she portrayed Britney in 24 episodes of the family comedy “Chicken Girls”, which has been airing since 2017 and stars Jules LeBlanc, Brooke Elizabeth Butler and Hayler LeBlanc. It follows the dancing crew ‘The Chicken Girls’ as they are growing up; the series has been nominated for five awards.
Lily’s most recent TV series role has been her portrayal of Melanie in the 2020 episode “Liftoff” of the drama “New Amsterdam”, which stars Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery and Freema Agyeman. It follows a new medical director who has decided to change all the rules to try and fix the oldest public hospital in the US. It’s been airing since 2018, and has won three awards.

The two met in 2019 on the set of the series “Chicken Girls”, in which he portrayed Ezra; a couple of his other roles among 10 acting credits have been in the series “Jack Irish”, “Neighbours” and “Arrow”.
