Samantha Jade Logan was born in Boston, Massachusetts USA, on 27 October 1996 – her zodiac sign is Scorpio, she holds American nationality, and is of Trinidadian and Irish descent. She’s an actress who’s probably known best for her portrayal of the lead character Olivia Baker in the sports drama series “All American”, created by April Blair and which also stars Daniel Ezra and Michael Evans Behling. It has been airing since 2018, and follows the life of a teenage football star after he’s transferred to Beverly Hills High School from South Central. The series has won one of the five awards it’s been nominated for.
Childhood and education
Samantha was raised in Boston an only child, by her parents who prefer to stay away from the media’s attention, thus nothing about them is known.
She became interested in dancing at quite an early age, and was ten when she served as a protégé during a dancing tour which included many popular choreographers such as Laurieann Gibson, Brian Friedman and Mia Michaels. Samantha made her debut film appearance with her portrayal of the spitting daughter in the 2011 drama “Detachment”, written by Carl Lund, directed by Tony Kaye, and which starred Adrien Brody, Marcia Gay Harden and Christina Hendricks. It follows the life of a substitute teacher, and the movie won eight of the 12 awards it was nominated for.
Her following film role came in 2014, when she portrayed Heather in the family comedy “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”, which starred Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner and Ed Oxenbould, and follows a very bad day in the life of Alexander’s entire family; the film won one and was nominated for eight other awards. Samantha gained recognition in 2012, when cast to portray the supporting character Nona Clark in the fantasy horror drama “666 Park Avenue”, created by David Wilcox and which starred Rachael Taylor, Dave Annable and Robert Buckley. It follows The Drake who has offered to grant a single wish to each of the residents of 203 apartments in New York City – the series was nominated for two awards.
The following year saw Samantha play Taylor DuBois in the popular romantic crime drama “General Hospital”, which has been airing since 1963 numbering over 6,700 episodes. She then went on to portray supporting characters in the romantic comedy “Melissa & Joey”, and the action fantasy drama “Teen Wolf”, both award-winning. Dylan Muse Sprayberry was born in Houston, Texas USA, on 7 July 1998 making him two years younger than Samantha. He has been credited with appearing in around 30 movies and TV series, and has been nominated for two Saturn Awards for his performance in the 2014 superhero movie “Man of Steel”, and the 2016 series “Teen Wolf”.
