Who is Krista Allen?

American actress and model Krista Allen was born in Ventura, California USA, on 5 April 1971, so her zodiac sign’s Aries. She’s appeared in close to 120 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for her playing of the lead character Tuffy in the 2005 action horror comedy movie “Feast”, directed by John Gulager, and which also starred Navi Rawat and Balthazar Getty. It follows a group of people who’ve locked themselves in a bar, and now have to fight monsters – the film won an Austin Fantastic Fest Award for Best Director.

Education and early life

Krista was raised in Houston, Texas by her mother Katherine and father Dale Allen, however, not many details about their lives have been shared, as they prefer to maintain their privacy. Krista seems to be an only child.

She studied at a local high school in Houston, and was mostly interested in sports during her time there; she ran track and was on her school’s volleyball team. Krista matriculated in 1989, and then moved to Austin, Texas to attend the Austin Community College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1993; prior to becoming a popular actress, she worked as a kindergarten teacher.

Krista’s debut film role was playing the lead character Emmanuelle in the 1994 romantic science fiction comedy “Emmanuelle: First Contact”, and she then reprised her role in the sequels “A World of Desire”, “A Lesson in Love” and “Concealed Fantasy”, all released in 1994.

The year 1996 saw her play Michelle in the action comedy “Rolling Thunder”, and she gained recognition in the following year, with her portrayal of the supporting character Lady in Elevator in the fantasy comedy “Liar Liar”, which Tom Shadyac directed, and which starred Amanda Donohoe, Maura Tierney and Jim Carrey. It follows a lawyer whose son has made a birthday wish for him to be unable to lie for 24 hours, which has now come true; the movie won four of its 10 award nominations. In 2002, she was cast to play Pretty Woman in the critically acclaimed biographical crime comedy “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, directed by George Clooney, who also starred in it alongside Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell. It follows game-show impresario Chuck Barris who’s pretending to be a CIA hitman, and the movie won seven of its 19 award nominations. It’s been airing since 1965, today numbers close to 15,000 episodes, and tells the story of the city Salem and its people; the series has won 240 of its 869 award nominations.

In 2000 and 2001, Krista appeared as Jenna Avid in 26 episodes of the action crime adventure “Baywatch”, and was then invited to guest star in single episodes of the comedy “Spin City”, the fantasy mystery “Charmed”, and the comedy “Inside Schwartz”. What marked the 2000s for her was perhaps playing Bridget Keller in 11 episodes of the 2007 romantic comedy “What About Brian”, created by Dana Stevens, and which starred Barry Watson, Matthew Davis and Rick Gomez; it tells the story of several friends from Los Angeles, California.

She met American actor George Clooney on the set of the 2002 movie “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, and they were together for two years.

Krista married her second husband, British singer-songwriter and rapper Mams Taylor on 10 October 2010, but they split in April 2011 and Krista filed for divorce on 12 February 2012.

From November 2015 through 2020, Krista was in a relationship with Canadian-American actor Nathan Fillion.
