Jon Gruden was born in Sandusky, Ohio USA, on 17 August 1963 – his zodiac sign is Leo and he holds American nationality. He is perhaps known best for working as the current head coach of the former Oakland, now Las Vegas Raiders.
Jon was raised in Sandusky alongside his two brothers Jay and James, by their father Jim who was a football coach and worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their director of player personnel, and their mother who was a housewife.
Jon’s brother Jay is a former Football player who is today a coach, while his brother James works at Weill Cornell Medicine as a radiologist.
Jon studied at Clay High School, and upon matriculating in 1981, he enrolled at Muskingum College before moving to the University of Dayton after a year. He played for the Dayton Flyers for three years as a quarterback, and in 1986 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
As soon as he graduated, he was invited to work at the University of Tennessee as a graduate assistant coach, and after a year moved to Southeast Missouri State to coach there.
