Allegra Versace Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education

Allegra Versace Beck was born on 30 June 1986, in Milan, Italy, the daughter of Donatella Versace and her first husband, Paul Beck. She has a younger brother, Daniel Versace Beck, born in 1989. Her parents divorced in 2000, and her mother remarried the Italian businessman and entrepreneur Manuel Dallori,. Their marriage was a short one, and didn’t produce any children.

Allegra is the niece of fashion designer Gianni Versace, since Donatella is his sister. Allegra became interested in ballet at an early age, and attended ballet lessons for nine years. Although Elton John gifted her a piano at a young age, she never learned to play, saying that she was never musically inclined, and chose ballet instead, stating that her uncle Gianni was the one who got her interested in ballet in the first place, including introducing her to Maurice Bejart, a French dancer, choreographer and opera director.

Allegra attended The British School of Milan, which was then called The Sir James Henderson School; during her school years, Allegra had bodyguards accompanying her. After secondary education, she moved to the USA from Italy, where she enrolled at Brown University in Rhode Island, to study art and drama.

She later enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied French, art history, and theatre.

Death of Gianni Versace

The murder of her uncle Gianni hit her hard. She was just 11 years old, and started having mental issues after the tragedy, for which her mother sought counseling. This lasted for years, and in her teenage years and later, she developed anorexia nervosa, which she still battles – at one point in her life, Allegra weighed only 60lbs (28kgs).

Following Gianni’s murder, the entire family moved to a secluded resort in the Caribbean. She had guards in school, as everybody feared for her life, but all has gone fine since then.

Versace S.p.A. Inheritance

Prior to his death, Gianni had already divided his empire into three parts, to his niece, sister and brother Santo Versace.

Despite being a minor, she was included in the will, and received 50% of the entire company, however, she could only claim this after she turned 18 years old. In 2011, she became the majority owner of Gianni Versace S.p.A, with her uncle Santo the owner of 30%, while her mother was entitled to 20% following her brother’s death.

Once she was announced as the majority owner, Allegra instantly became a millionaire, however, she didn’t pursue a director role in the company until later, as she wanted to finish her studies. She returned to Milan at 25 years old, after completing her education.

To speak further of her career accomplishments, Allegra has worked as a theatrical dresser in New York City. Moreover, she is looking to launch her acting career, but so far has had no luck. Although a celebrity and a successful businesswoman in her own right, Allegra doesn’t expose herself to the public.

When the assassination of Gianni Versace was made into a TV mini-series, Allegra’s character was seen in the premise of the series, but she asked her character to be removed – that’s how private she is.

Nevertheless, she continues to lead the family company, despite not being involved in fashion design herself, in honor of her uncle. According to reports. Allegra helped a non-Italian fashion designer set up his own fashion show, and promoted it.

Relationship with Donatella Versace

According to reports, Allegra has cared for her mother throughout her problems with cocaine addiction.
