Royce Pierreson was born in Cornwall, England, on 1 April 1989 – his zodiac sign is Aries and he holds British nationality. He is an actor, who might be known best for his portrayal of Istredd in the Netflix fantasy adventure series “The Witcher”, created by Lauren Schmidt, and which stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Yasen Atour – the series has been airing since 2019, and follows Geralt of Rivia, a witcher who roams the world in search of monsters to kill. It has been nominated for two awards.
Childhood and education
Royce was raised in Cornwall, but hasn’t talked about any siblings nor his parents, prefering to keep his personal matters to himself.
He became interested in acting at a very early age, but was urged by his parents to focus on his education and obtain his college degree. Royce studied at Saltanesh Community School, apparently one of their most accomplished students, and upon matriculating in 2007, Royce enrolled at City College Plymouth, but in 2011 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Roles in movies
Royce launched his acting career in 2011, with his role in the drama “London’s Burning” which starred David Morrissey and Samantha Bond, and follows riots which began in several parts of England in 2011 after the unarmed man Mark Duggan was shot and killed by police.
In 2013, he was invited to portray HIM in the romantic drama “Love Me Till Monday”, but which failed to attract much attention, then in the same year appear in the critically acclaimed action adventure fantasy “Thor: The Dark World”, which starred Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, and follows Thor fighting the Dark Elves who want to take over the universe – the movie won three awards and was nominated for 21 others.
Royce went on to star as Sal in the short thriller drama “Be Gentle”, written and directed by Jamie Annett, while he became famous in 2014 after portraying Reece in the drama “Murdered by My Boyfriend” – the film follows a true story of a girl who fell in love with a charming stranger, and it won two awards while it was nominated for two others.
Two of Royce’s following roles were in the 2015 action crime thriller “Survivor”, and the romantic comedy “A Spell on You”. In 2016, he played Sergeant Lilo Diaz in the Netflix adventure science fiction film “Spectral” which follows the fight between a special-ops team and a group of extraterrestrial beings.
Royce appeared in two short films in 2017 and 2018, entitled “Body Slam” and “Corpucia” respectively, and his most recent role in a movie has been in the 2019 biographical romantic drama “Judy”, which starred Renee Zellweger, Jessie Buckley and Finn Wittrock, and is about the famous singer Judy Garland and the time she spent in London in 1968 – the movie was a hit, winning 23 awards including an Oscar, while it was nominated for 58 other awards.

Royce made his debut TV series appearance in 2012, with his portrayal of Lee in a single episode of the comedy drama “Stella”, and the following years saw him appear in single episodes of many series, such as the drama “Holby City”, the crime mystery drama “Inspector Lewis”, and the romantic drama “Dates”.
He gained recognition in 2016 when he portrayed Dr. Jamie Cole in six episodes of the action thriller “Our Girl”, which starred Michelle Keegan and Sean Ward, and follows Molly, an army medic serving in Afghanistan and in Eastern Africa (season one and two) – the series won Michelle a nomination for a National Television Award for Drama Performance. The year 2017 saw Royce appear as Jamie in four episodes of the crime mystery drama “Line of Duty”, and in 2018 he starred in the drama “Wanderlust”, alongside Toni Collette and Steven Mackintosh – the series is about a therapist who is struggling to save her own marriage.
Royce’s most recent role in a TV series has been in “The Witcher”.
Stage roles and voice roles in video games
Royce has appeared in four London theatre plays: his first was “Scarberia” performed at the Theatre Royal in 2012, and the following year saw him appear in “Blair’s Children” at the Cockpit Theatre. In 2015, Royce appeared in “Three Days in the Country” at the Lyttelton Theatre, and in 2017 in “Julius Caesar” performed at the Crucible Theatre.
He has also had four voicing roles in video games – four characters in the 2016 stealth video game “Hitman“, and then in 2017 various characters in both action role-playing video game “Mass Effect: Andromeda”, and the racing video game “Need for Speed Payback”, and in 2018, he voiced five characters in the sequel “Hitman 2”.
Love life and relationships
Royce is quite secretive when it comes to his love life, but it’s known that he’s in a long-term relationship with a non-celebrity girl, Natalie Herron.
Natalie is mostly known as Royce’s girlfriend, but is a holder of a degree in psychology from the Stockholm University in 2014, and of two other degrees, in media and communication, and in behaviorism. Natalie is an avid swimmer, who once worked at Stockholm Simskola & Babysit as a swim instructor, before she made a big change and moved to Svensk Internet, working as their seller – she has also worked at ICA as a store clerk, while she’s today working for Unionen as their legal advisor in employment.
According to Royce’s Instagram account, he and Natalie have recently become engaged.
Royce hasn’t talked about any other girls he might have dated, so as of December 2020, he is in a relationship with Natalie Herron, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Royce spends a lot of his free time working out at a local gym, thus his muscular body, and he’s also following a strict diet. Royce plays various sports with his friends, including soccer, and is also keen on riding horses and cycling.
He is a dog-lover, and in June 2020 brought an eight-week old puppy home, calling it Rey – it can be seen featured in many of Royce’s pictures on Instagram.
Royce likes to travel, and his career as an actor has taken him to various European countries as well as to several US states, while he’s recently been to Brazil in South America – many of his pictures taken during his travels can be found uploaded onto his Instagram account.
Royce has his own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Robert De Niro, Matt Damon and Natalie Portman, and his favorite movies include the trilogy “The Godfather”, “Good Will Hunting” and “V for Vendetta”.

Royce’s age is 31. He has short black hair and blue eyes, his height is 6ft 3ins (1.91m) and he weighs around 185lbs (83kgs).
