Age, Early Life, and Education Background

RondoNumbaNine was born Clint Massey in Chicago, Illinois, under the Aquarius zodiac sign on 18 February 1997, which makes him 26 years old as of 2024. He hasn’t disclosed the names of his parents, who split when he was just two years old – his mother raised him when he was young, and his dad stepped in when he got older, after he was expelled from school. RondoNumbaNine spent his childhood in one of the most dangerous, crime-ridden neighborhoods of Chicago, and often got into trouble during his younger days.

Teenage Years

Massey began engaging in criminal activities shortly after moving in with his dad, when he was 15 years old. His father reportedly taught him the basics of becoming a criminal, and it’s reported that they trafficked drugs together. Eventually, the law caught up with Massey’s father, who was arrested and imprisoned for many years for trafficking drugs, this imprisonment didn’t deter Clint from further engaging in crime, shortly afterwards becoming acquainted with a man named Alfred Himalayas, who took him under his wing and initiated him into his criminal gang. Subsequently, Alfred introduced him to his friend named Tato Smoke, and the trio partnered with other gang members to form the Diamond City street gang, Groove Street 9ine (GS9),  known for distributing drugs, and responsible for dozens of killings and non-fatal shootings.

While still young, RondoNumbaNine joined the 600 Black Disciples gang, which was involved in drill rap.

RondoNumbaNine began his music career by releasing the 2013 hit track “Taliban.” The single was a critical success, and its video amassed over 12 million views on YouTube. He also collaborated with several famous artists and rap groups, including the South Side, Chicago-based band Fly Boy Gang (FBG). RondoNumbaNine released his debut mixtape entitled “I’m Up Next” in 2012 – available for streaming at the online audio distribution platform, DatPiff. Criminal Activities

Rocket Launcher Allegations

In January 2014, the Chicago-based Crime Control Strategies Deployment Operations Center: 3rd District Gang Violence unit issued a safety bulletin alleging that two rival gang factions, including the Wiic City/Brick City Black Disciples and Bricksquad Gangster Disciples, had banned weapons such as rocket launchers. The image of RondoNumbaNine was included in the police bulletin, which read, ‘Here are several photos posted on social media with MASSEY in possession of a rocket launcher similar to the one in the above photo.’ However, Rondo refuted the authenticity of the alleged weapon, stating that there was no tangible evidence that the rocket launcher was real, and went on to proclaim his innocence.

Murder and Incarceration

It is rumored that in 2013, RondoNumbaNine accidentally shot his friend BT of the Risky Road gang in the back of his head during a shootout with their rivals. Shortly after celebrating his 17th birthday on 22 February 2014, RondoNumbaNine accompanied the rapper Cdai, and other 600 Black Disciples gang members to a party, where a confrontation ensued, forcing them to leave. On their way out, Cdai and RondoNumbaNine spotted a cab driver named Javan Boyd, who was associated with their rival gang, Murdatown 039. They approached Boyd and fired multiple shots at him, which resulted in him dying at the scene.
